These prints are both monoprints, but “St. George and the Dragon” was the first “Paper Plate Monoprint” we made at Trillium. This is a technique created by David Salgado in which all of the prints are sealed and can act as the “plate” so the artist can paint directly on any of the prints and then offset them to the others. This technique is demonstrated in this Spark video.
